The Benefits of Beta Fuel Energy Gel

A high-carbohydrate diet

With 40 g of carbohydrates per gel, a single packet provides the same amount of carbohydrates as two standard gels, meaning you have fewer products to carry on long runs.

A 1:0.8 dual-source ratio

Combining maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio increases the amount of carbohydrates the body can utilize per hour of exercise.

A smooth texture that's easy to swallow

More liquid than a traditional gel, it can be consumed in just a few seconds—even when you're out of breath—without breaking your stride while running or cycling.

Designed for workouts lasting more than 2 hours

Designed for marathons, trail runs, and long bike rides, it helps you meet the recommended intake of 80 to 120 g of carbohydrates per hour during these types of activities.

Everything You Need to Know About Beta Fuel Energy Gel

What is Beta Fuel Gel?

Beta Fuel Gel is an energy gel from the Beta line, developed by SiS in collaboration with elite athletes for endurance sports. With an orange flavor, it stands out for its smooth texture, which is easier to swallow than a thick gel when you’re out of breath.

Why use Beta Fuel Gel?

Thanks to its carbohydrate ratio of 1:0.8, Beta Fuel Gel was tested by SiS during a 3-hour cycling session: the body utilized up to 1.58 g of carbohydrates per minute. A fuel designed to go the distance, from marathons to ultras.

Description

SiS's Beta Fuel Energy Gel is a dual-source, carbohydrate-rich energy gel designed for endurance athletes during their longest workouts. Each gel provides 40 g of carbohydrates and has an orange flavor.

Its carbohydrates come from maltodextrin and fructose, combined in an optimal ratio of 1:0.8. Maltodextrin, a form of glucose, is used directly by the muscles, while fructose is processed by the liver: this combination increases the amount of carbohydrates the body can absorb per hour of exercise.

An ideal nutrition solution for workouts lasting more than 2 hours, it should be consumed at a rate of 1 to 3 gels per hour, either on its own or in combination with Beta Fuel drinks and bars.

Frequently asked questions

How many carbohydrates are in a gel?

Each gel provides 40 g of carbohydrates, derived from maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. It is one of the highest-concentration gels on the market, which means you don't need to carry as many packets.

How should you take the gel during exercise?

Tear open the top of the packet and squeeze the contents directly into your mouth whenever you need it. Follow it with a few sips of water to help your body absorb it.

How many gels per hour?

Aim for 1 to 3 energy gels per hour, depending on your sport and the intensity, to consume 80 to 120 g of carbohydrates per hour. Start right from the first hour—don't wait until you feel hungry.

Why two sources of carbohydrates?

Maltodextrin is used directly by the muscles, while fructose is processed by the liver. Combining the two increases the amount of carbohydrates the body can absorb per hour.

Can it be combined with other products?

Yes, it can be combined with Beta Fuel 80 or Beta Fuel Energy Chew bars. For example, one Beta Fuel 80 drink and one gel provide 120 g of carbohydrates per hour.
